Academic Integrity Policy

The Association of Certified Gaming Compliance Specialists (ACGCS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. This policy outlines the expectations for ethical conduct in all learning activities, assessments, and credentialed programs, ensuring that all learners demonstrate honesty, professionalism, and accountability in their academic pursuits.

Academic Misconduct

Violations of academic integrity include, but are not limited to:

Plagiarism

  • Presenting someone else's work, ideas, or data as your own

  • Failing to cite sources properly, whether from print, digital, or AI-generated content

Cheating

  • Copying from others during an exam or assessment

  • Using unauthorized materials or tools (including generative AI where not permitted)

Fabrication or Falsification

  • Inventing or altering data, credentials, citations, or personal records

  • Misrepresenting participation in group work or learning activities

Collusion

  • Working with others on an individual assignment without permission

  • Submitting identical or nearly identical work as another learner

Contract Cheating

  • Hiring or arranging for someone else to complete academic work on your behalf

  • Submitting assignments purchased from third-party services

Impersonation

  • Taking a course, quiz, or assessment on behalf of another person

Consequences of Violations

Sanctions for academic misconduct may include:

  • Written warning or educational remediation

  • Grade reduction or assignment failure

  • Removal of certificate eligibility or revocation of credentials

  • Temporary or permanent suspension from the Academy

Repeat or severe offenses may result in permanent academic dismissal.
