Dalhousie University Microcredential in Casino Security and Surveillance

We are pleased to announce the launch of a Dalhousie University Microcredential version of our Certified Casino Security and Surveillance Specialist (CCSSS) certification.

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the essential aspects of casino security and surveillance. Students will examine core principles of protecting casino environments, focusing on risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and industry-specific challenges. Blending theory with hands-on applications, the course delves into surveillance methods for detecting and preventing fraud, theft, and other criminal activities. It also addresses the legal and ethical dimensions of casino security, alongside vital communication and incident management skills. By the course's end, students will be prepared to enhance the safety, security, and compliance of gaming establishments.

This fully online course is offered jointly by Dalhousie University and the Association of Certified Gaming Compliance Specialists (ACGCS). Completion of the course will give students the Certified Casino Security and Surveillance Specialist (CCSSS) certification from the ACGCS.
